Staff from all Catholic schools in the Parish of St James the Apostle, Hoppers Crossing North, gathered for Mass and morning tea to celebrate the 2017 welcome mass at Thomas Carr College, Tarneitcommencement of the new school year.
 

Primary schools St James the Apostle School, Hoppers Crossing North; St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, Tarneit; and St Clare’s Catholic School, Truganina South, along with Thomas Carr College, Tarneit, celebrated the Eucharist with Father Jude Pirotta, Canonical Administrator of all four schools.

The theme for the celebration was ‘United in Community’ and Father Jude spoke of the importance of working together as a community to ensure that all our young people continue to be educated in faith through Catholic education.

Rob Aron, Manager for the Catholic Education 吃瓜不打烊’s Western Region, was also in attendance along with many members of the wider parish community.

At the conclusion of Mass all new staff from the four schools were invited to receive a blessing as they commenced their ministry within the parish.

The morning that followed was a great social occasion allowing for the staff all the schools to catch up before returning to their individual schools.
