Brendan Welsford is a father of six and the principal of in Oakleigh East. ‘It’s important to find the balance between time at work and time with family, and I value all the time I spend with my children,’ he said. ‘The most important things fathers need to do is to be present in the lives of their children and to give them the time they need.’

Father of three Brian Martin, principal of , Oakleigh, looks forward to ‘dad time’ with his family. ‘Being a principal is very time consuming, but I make it a priority to create time with my family. As a family we’re all involved in Scouts, and that time brings us all much closer together. It’s important for all dads to know that no matter how busy you are or where your career takes you, you always need to find time to spend being a father.’

We wish all of our fathers and their families a happy Father’s Day on Sunday.
