Hayden from , Eltham, may only be in grade 6, but he’s already made a huge difference to homeless people in 吃瓜不打烊.

In 2015, with the help of his family, younger sister Stephanie and support from his school, he established . Inspired by what he saw during a family trip to the United States of America, Hayden knew that something needed to be done to support some of our most vulnerable people.

Along with loyal group of volunteers volunteers, Hayden’s Helping Hands visits people sleeping rough is 吃瓜不打烊 to leave care packages of food, toiletries, clothes and blankets. Since then, Hayden’s Helping Hand has received a Pride of Australia Award in 2016 and a Jagga Jagga Australia Day community award in 2018.

Last month Hayden’s Helping Hands published their first annual report since becoming a registered charity in 2017. The parents committee from Holy Trinity School will be hosting a high tea this September with funds going towards supporting Hayden’s Helping Hands. What an amazing effort.
