STEM is making a digital difference

STEM MAD (Making a Difference) returns in October with this year’s Showcase going digital.
In 2020, small teams of primary or secondary students are invited to design a product, service or innovation that makes a difference to others or the environment. The Showcase aims to address real-world problems and demonstrate how students in Catholic schools take action that matters.
To enter, teams must prepare a 90-second video detailing their project and submit it by 5 pm on Friday 4 September. A panel will assess the entries and finalists will then be asked to create a 3.5-minute video submission. Details on the application process are available on the .
The STEM MAD Showcase in October is an opportunity for all schools to share in the learning and participate in a day focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Activities and presentations, including award ceremonies, will be streamed to schools.
