A refurbishment at , Fawkner, has transformed the school’s junior learning area and staff facilities into a flexible and dynamic space to support the needs of 21st century learners.
With a plaque unveiled by Senator for Victoria, James Paterson, and a blessing by Bishop Terry Curtin, the school’s new facilities are now ready to use. Communal spaces allow for greater collaboration and different learning styles. In addition to $1.5 million from the federal government, the school benefited from its parent community who has given time and energy to the project.
‘Our parents have been participating in working bees, helping to move resources and furniture, and doing everything to make it happen’, said Principal Peter Wilson. ‘Our parents are the first educators or our students, and it’s important for us to work in partnership with them.’
