, Point Cook, celebrated its 21st birthday with a mix of activities, reflection and the revelation of an insightful prediction.

The day began with classes celebrating a liturgy before student representatives gathered in the school’s newly constructed sacred space, the Lumen Christi Friendship Garden. Officially opened and blessed on the day by parish priest Fr John, the space was named by Year 2 student Alexia.

With a celebration cake cut by principal Trish Armstrong and 21 activities across the day, students and staff celebrated this significant anniversary. A time capsule, organised during the school’s 10th birthday celebrations, was opened and revealed some interesting insights from students at the time. One student, when asked to predict what the world would be like in years to come, wrote that he thought children in the future would be learning from a computer at home. Current students at the school prepared content for a new time capsule to be opened 10 years from now.
