The Victorian Association for the Teaching of English (VATE) writing competition has seen winners from two of 吃瓜不打烊’s Catholic schools.
The ‘Stories That Change’ writing competition received entries from over 90 schools across Victoria. In the Year 9 and 10 category, the winner was Julie Hoang from Nazareth College, Noble Park North, with her story Away. In the Year 11 and 12 category, the winner was Laura Flanagan from Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, Braybrook, with her story Reflection. The winning entries will be published in an upcoming edition of Idiom and can also be found on the VATE webpage.
