While the whole country will be cheering on Australia’s Paralympians, a number of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of 吃瓜不打烊 will have a little more to celebrate.
Five members of Australia’s team have a special connection to our schools. We congratulate each of them and hope that their achievements continue to inspire students everywhere:
- Danni Di Toro, formerly of , Dandenong, will compete in Para-table tennis at her eighth Paralympic Games.
- Ahmed Kelly, formerly of St Patrick’s Primary School, Kilmore, will be swimming at his fourth Paralympic Games.
- Sam McIntosh, formerly of , Drysdale, and , Drysdale, will compete in Para-athletics at his fourth Paralympic Games.
- Nathan Pellissier, formerly of , Williamstown, and , Altona North, will take inspiration from his silver medal win for Para-table tennis in Tokyo.
- Ella Sabljak, formerly of MacKillop Catholic Regional College, Werribee, will compete in the wheelchair rugby competition.
