The Opportunity

We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Music Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will design and implement a music curriculum aligned with the Kodály method and First Steps in Music, emphasising sequential and child-centered learning appropriate for primary-level students.

The position is part time (0.6) fixed term for the 2025 academic school year, commencing 28 January 2025Ìý

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an engaging music curriculum aligned with best practices in Kodály and First Steps methodologies.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, contributing to a collaborative learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that promote creativity, curiosity, and engagement through musical experiences.
  • Provide opportunities for students to observe, question, and explore music in an inclusive and supportive setting.
  • Establish clear learning objectives for each lesson and communicate them effectively to students.

About You

You have a passion for music education and a strong understanding of Kodály and First Steps methodologies. With proven ability to connect with students and inspire a love for learning through music, your excellent interpersonal skillsÌýare evident upon meeting you.
