Role Description/Criteria

St. Patrick’s Murrumbeena is seeking a high-performing, committed and enthusiastic teacher to take on a full-time teaching position in our senior school in 2025. Suitable candidates may be considered for a Wellbeing POL.Ìý

This position is fixed-term and will commence at the beginning of 2025. There is a strong possibility that the position will continue into 2026 and beyond.Ìý

Teachers who are passionate about student learning, and who are committed to ensuring each student reaches their full potential, are strongly encouraged to apply for this position. The successful applicant will have a commitment to student safety, wellbeing and supporting students with diverse needs. The successful applicant will be expected to plan in collaboration with other teachers and use student data effectively to inform their teaching.

In your application please outline your experience and beliefs related to the following:

  • demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic ethos
  • articulate an understanding of, and a commitment to, contemporary learning and teaching practices
  • be committed to planning and implementing the curriculum through an engaging personalised learning program
  • be willing to develop strong relationships with all members of the St Patrick's community
  • an ability to work in a team
  • collect and analyse data to inform teaching practice and learning programs
  • cater for a diverse range of learning needs through program planning and delivery

  • VIT Registration
  • accreditation to teach in a Catholic school or a commitment to acquire accreditationÌý
  • a knowledge and understanding of the legal responsibilities for schools in relation to the safety of staff and students.
