History:
We are a small Catholic school with a big heart. We are situated in the multicultural suburb of Doveton. The learning at Holy Family is comprehensive and caters for the individual needs of students. The children’s learning is guided by the Christian values that underpins all that we do here. We welcome every child and their family; encouraging understanding, tolerance and an appreciation of the different cultures and creeds that make up Holy Family School, while developing a knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith. Our programs are linked to each child’s personal ability, and not simply an age expectation. We believe in providing opportunities for parents to develop their skills in order to become active participants in their children’s education.
For the children at Holy Family to reach their full potential, there needs to be an authentic partnership between families and the school with the child at the centre. (We all have a joint responsibility to ensure each child’s learning is optimal.) We strive to provide a happy, supportive and secure learning environment, where each child feels safe to ‘Give it a go’.
We are very excited about the recent changes we have made to the junior school in both appearance and the pedagogy that guides the learning and teaching. During this year we will be looking at similar changes to our senior school.
