St Matthew's Primary School, Fawkner North, is a welcoming co-educational Catholic primary school servicing families
who are genuinely interested in Christian education and values, as taught from the perspective of the Catholic Tradition.
St Matthew's has been serving the educational needs of the Fawkner and Campbellfield communities since 1961. It is the largest primary school in the area with around 450 students. The school is proud of the quality of education, support and facilities that it provides to the families it serves. Classes are predominantly in straight grades, with two or three class groups at each level.
St Matthew's is a multicultural school community where cultural differences are accepted and celebrated. The school has a long tradition of striving to meet the needs of all the students within its care.
Features:
St Matthew's School sits on a large site with ample space for learning and play areas. A synthetic grass oval and basketball court allow children year-round access to the play areas. The school also has modern junior and senior adventure playgrounds, an asphalt basketball/netball court and games area and ample shaded and seating areas.
The school buildings have recently been refurbished and all learning areas are bright, environmentally controlled (heating and cooling) and well maintained.
