History:
Our Lady of the Way was established in 1963 to service the growing number of families within the Kingsbury area. Initial construction saw a central block of three classrooms built in stage one, followed by another classroom a couple of years later. In 1994 and in 2010 large building programs took place to develop and upgrade the facilities of the school providing purpose built learning and specialist Art, Music and Language areas, as well as extensive landscaping.
Description:
This school is nestled securely onto a large block of land within a residential area just to the west of Latrobe University. The outdoor areas consist of a football oval, a soccer pitch, a running track, a long jump/triple jump pit and Adventure Playground and a range of experiential outdoor play areas. The school population numbers around 175 students, enabling the staff and families to develop a real sense of community that is based on trust, positive relationships, and high quality learning programs which achieve outstanding results.

In 2015 the Office and Administration Area were refurbished and upgraded to provide an open, bright and welcoming entrance to visitors. Signage defining the front of the school entrance was constructed early 2016, guiding visitors to the new School Office. In 2017 Outdoor Experiential Music and associated Play Areas were created to provide passive and imaginative play spaces for the students In 2020, the school is commencing a major Refurbishment Program which will see the majority of the Main Building, the School Hall and the Basketball Court transformed into modern and contemporary learning areas that will further enhance the high quality of learning and teaching that occurs each day.
