History:
St. Catherine’s was opened in 1984 on the Western Perimeter of Melton. The school community at St. Catherine’s has always been active in supporting the school, and helping to create a good learning environment and beautiful grounds. The school is the second school in the Catholic Parish of St. Dominic’s Melton. Strong ties are maintained with the Parish through the Sacramental Program, and the celebrations of special events in the life of the Parish. The school population has fluctuated over the years, and current numbers are rising steadily.
Description:
St. Catherine’s School is a most attractive building, set within a landscape of native trees and shrubs. The school is adjacent to Catholic Regional College, and is surrounded by parklands, including Westlake's park development. The school building is small, but is admired for its light, airy classrooms, a wonderful multi-purpose room and its beautiful grounds.
